Update BATC's New Website

Battle at the Capital welcomes you to the website. Yes, it’s live and we welcome your comment. Your eyes will help us make sure that all the information is complete and accurate. Battle at the Capital is also pleased to showcase a clip of the Commemorative DVD. This was filmed in San Diego in the Veterans Museum adjacent to Balboa Naval Hospital. The film team capture hours of riveting testimony from our wounded veterans, wives, and families. This is a story that must be told. It is their story. The clip will provide a glimpse of what’s ahead – it’s raw with only minor edits. Their story will be made available on the website. The event agenda for 2011 is complete and teams are lining up for 2012. This year football invitational includes:  Westlake High School, Del Oro High School, Pleasant Grove High School, Lincoln of Stockton High School, Leland High School, Highlands High School, Capital Christian High School and Hug Reno High School. There will also be two USA Midget Football games featuring Grant versus Granite Bay and Del Campo versus Roseville.  Don’t forget the Badge versus Badge game matching up the Placer County Sheriff’s against Nevada County.Battle Week starts August 29th at the Lincoln Hills Golf Club with a golf tournament, the “Battle of the Forces Shootout”, and an Evening of Honor. You won’t want to miss any of this excitement ... Mark “Coach” Soto
